Privacy Policy

This website, CatherineGoodwin.com, is run by Catherine Goodwin, a leadership and communications coach. This policy explains, in plain language, what information I collect when you visit the site or get in touch, how I use it, and the choices you have. I keep it simple: I collect only what I need to respond to you, schedule our conversations and run my coaching practice.
What I collect and why
Information you give me. When you book a call, email me, or sign up for something on this site, you may share your name, email address, phone number, and anything you choose to write in a message or booking form. I use it to reply to you, schedule and hold our conversations, and, if we work together, run our coaching engagement.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, this site gathers basic, anonymous visit data, such as the pages you view, the type of device and browser you use, and roughly where in the world you are. I use it only to understand how the site is used and to make it better.
What I do with it. I use your information to respond to you, provide coaching, send you things you've asked for, and keep my business running (for example, invoicing). I do not sell your information. I will only add you to an email list if you sign up for it, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Coaching conversations. What we discuss in coaching stays confidential, in line with the ICF Code of Ethics. This policy covers the website; the details of confidentiality in our work together are covered in our coaching agreement.
Services I use
I rely on a few trusted services to run this site and my practice. Each handles your information under its own privacy policy.
Squarespace hosts this website and collects the basic visit data described above.
Calendly handles scheduling. When you book a call, the details you enter go to Calendly and to me.
Email. If you write to me, your message is stored in my email account.
Payments (coming later). When I offer paid products, payments will be processed securely by a payment provider such as Squarespace Payments or Stripe. I never see or store your full card details.
Links to other sites. This site links to my Substack and LinkedIn. When you click through, those sites' own privacy policies apply.
Cookies
This site uses cookies, small files stored in your browser, to work properly and to count visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some features may not.
Sharing
I share your information only with the services listed above, as needed to run the site and my practice, or if the law requires it. I never sell or rent it.
How long I keep it
I keep your information only as long as I need it to respond to you, provide coaching, and meet business and tax record-keeping requirements. After that, I delete it.
Your choices
You can ask me at any time to see the information I hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Just email me and I'll take care of it.
Children
This site and my coaching are intended for adults. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If I change this policy, I'll post the new version here and update the date at the top.
