Write On!
This is a 60 minute classroom or
library presentation that focuses on the creative process and includes
readings from Catherine’s new book, Seeking Shelter,
as well as interactive writing with students. Catherine will talk about how
she got started, how she develops ideas, and how to structure a story.
Through a cooperative learning activity, students will then work in a group
to develop ideas and begin their own story. Suitable for grades 4-7.

Catherine is
available for readings from her Young Adult novel, Seeking
Shelter, or her short story, "The Ballot", published in
Ronsdale’s YA Canadian anthology
Beginnings: Stories of Canada’s Past. She
will also speak about how she began writing and how she develops a story.
